Description
CelliCryo Serum-Freeis a ready-to-use cryopreservation medium widely applicable for the low temperature freezing of various mammalian cells. It has been verified to be suitable for cryopreservation of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC), China hamster ovary (CHO) cells, peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC), human embryonic kidney cells (HEK293), African green monkey kidney cells (Vero), and other cell types. The chemical composition of this product is well-defined,containing no protein components, which eliminates the potential risks of pathogens or immune reactions associated with serum or proteins. It is safer to use and can maintain a recovery viability rate of over 90% for multiple cell types.
Product Principle
CelliCryo Serum-Free safeguards cells through a dual mechanism. The cryoprotectant binds with water molecules to facilitate hydration, which weakens water crystallization and increases solution viscosity to inhibit ice crystal formation. Simultaneously, it maintains optimal molar concentrations within cells, reducing electrolyte concentration in non-freezing solutions. This dual approach protects cells from solute damage while ensuring stable survival under low-temperature conditions.
